It has taken me too long to put this sandal on the market. Life got in the way. I woke up one sunny morning while I was living in Cape Town with a vision… Adjustable sandals for people who get swollen feet either from flying, being pregnant or due to medical conditions. Not to mention the convenience of being able to undo the straps and slip your feet into a sandal without the risk of smudging your beautiful toes after a pedicure. I immediately put my design to paper.

I sourced manufacturers, analysed materials and even tested prototypes by walking from Sea Point to Camps Bay and back and all over the beautiful city of Cape Town to ensure the end result is both practical and comfortable. 

Next I needed a name. I always wanted to use “Pedi” but there is an African tribe of the same name and being a South African it just did not feel right. While on a tube in London with my brother, he came up with “Pedeze”, which I loved immediately. That is how the name was born which allowed me to register the patent Pedeze®.

Along the way I held a show at which there was a lot of interest but most people wanted their own name on the sandals. My brother holds a special place in my heart and that is why the name is so special to me. Furthermore he passed away in 2022. Sadly I should have done a lot of things but as I said, life got in the way.

Finally I am in a place to share the comfort of my vision with everyone. Now situated in Johannesburg, South Africa we are able to ship locally and internationally both for the discerning individual and commercially in bulk.
